CLEAR START · START WHERE YOU ARE

Support should be easy to reach.

You do not need to buy anything to find information or support. Clear Start is for people in different countries, with different experiences and different needs. Start with what feels manageable. There is no pressure to sign up, pay or share more than you want to.

Free support, without a purchase

Explore free information, peer support and professional services. You can begin with an online meeting, a trusted person, a local health professional or an official service in your country.

Find support internationally

Worldwide peer support: SMART Recovery International lists online and in-person meetings across countries and time zones. You can also explore Alcoholics Anonymous meeting information.

United Kingdom: NHS alcohol support.

United States: NIAAA Alcohol Treatment Navigator and FindTreatment.gov.

Australia: Australian Government alcohol contacts.

Other countries: contact your local primary-care provider, national health service or official alcohol and drug service. Service names, eligibility and emergency numbers differ by location; use official local sources for current information.

Want a more structured personal workbook?

Clear Start: The First Honest Step (£9)

A 10-page digital wellbeing guide with reflection prompts, habit-pattern exercises, personal reasons for change, a support-circle exercise and a seven-day noticing practice. It is designed to help you organise your thoughts at your own pace — not to prescribe a treatment plan.

A note on safety

Clear Start is an educational resource, not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, therapy or a detox plan. If you drink heavily or regularly, or experience symptoms when you stop, speak with a qualified healthcare professional before stopping or sharply reducing alcohol. Withdrawal can be dangerous and may require medically supervised care. Seek urgent local medical help for severe symptoms such as seizures, hallucinations or severe confusion.
